Since its inception in 2002, Vision On Ice has received overwhelming support from various parties and organizations. Founded on SPL's proven track record of nurturing talented young ice skaters, "Vision On Ice" is the long-term commitment to raise local ice-skating standard to the Olympian level.
"Vision On Ice" offers a series of comprehensive training programmes namely Summer Camp, Recreational Programme, Champion Programme and Core Training Programme in Cityplaza Ice Palace and Festival Walk Glacier, aiming to nurture local young skaters to go beyond Asia and into the Olympic arena.
Apart from training for students, ice-skating workshops were also conducted for SPL's coaches, some of whom were already qualified to teach both the Olympic-standard system as well as the better known and long established recreational skating scheme at SPL's ice rinks. To make the sport accessible to more members of the local community, clinics sessions were conducted for handicapped skaters and underprivileged children.
In addition to conducting a full programme of skating clinics, "Vision On Ice" introduced spectacular performances by international stars to offer Hong Kong residents the rare opportunity to watch in person dazzling ice shows.
